The Fountain on Locust Partners with Metro Theater Company

Here at The Fountain on Locust, we are always looking for ways to support our local St. Louis community. When the opportunity presented itself to partner with Metro Theater Company, we couldn’t pass it up! Beginning April 2 we will be offering two specialty items in support of their upcoming production of Go, Dog. Go!

Go, Dog. Go! will be shown at The Big Top just a couple of blocks down the street from The Fountain. Throughout the entire two-week run of the show, we will be offering a special ice cream sundae and mocktail, and donating a portion of the proceeds to Metro Theater Company.

Close to Home

One of our long-time employees and professional actor, Ryan Lawson-Maeske, is starring in the show, and we couldn’t think of a better chance to join forces with this prominent community theater!

Originally from New Mexico, Ryan graduated from Saint Louis University in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Communication. He has been working at The Fountain on Locust since 2018 and has always been one of our strongest team members.

Ryan is well-known in the St. Louis Arts scene, and we are proud support his talents and passion! Ryan has performed with the Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis, the West End Players, St. Louis Actors’ Studio, The New Jewish Theater and more. He is a tw-time St. Louis Theater Circle Award nominee for Best Supporting Actor in a drama and was recently nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy!

Special Items For A Special Cause

Throughout Go Dog Go’s run with Metro Theater, we will feature two special menu items inspired by the show! The Paw-some Pup Sundae features chocolate and vanilla ice cream, Hot Fudge, Oreos, bruléed banana slices, and Whipped Cream. This special sundae is as delicious as it is adorable!

The Party Hat Mocktail, our ode to one of our favorite lines in the book (I do like it! What a hat!), is a delicious non-alcoholic beverage perfect for the whole family. This drink is made with with peach pureé, raspberry syrup, cream, and ginger ale. Extravagantly garnished, this beautiful drink is sure to delight!

Supporting Our Community

The Fountain on Locust will be donating 25% of all proceeds from these two items to Metro Theater Company to support their continued artistic endeavors here in our community. Metro Theater Company relies on the generosity of supporters to fulfill their mission to foster community, nurture learning and build the potential of young people through the arts. The funds raised through this fundraiser will go to:

  • Enable [their] mainstage season, touring productions, and education programs to reach over 20,000 young people each year, including youth who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience live performance.
