“A lot of us have fantasized about opening a restaurant that served only our favorite dishes — a random assortment of foods not bound by any trend, theme or cuisine — but we never had the guts to test such a wacky idea.”

Of All The Gin Joints I'm Glad I Walked Into The Fountain on Locust

Stepping into The Fountain on Locust the first thing you are struck by is the beautiful, hand-painted Art Deco walls. You could marvel at the paintings and antique lighting for hours, but eventually they are going to put a menu in front of you, then you will have a chance to marvel at that for a while. Unique dishes like their special recipe Polish Dill Pickle soup, grilled cheese with Fuji apples, and orange onion salad tempt you to order one of everything on the menu just to try a bite. Luckily you can keep going back, which makes choosing a little easier because one stop at The Fountain and I dare you to not want to go back.
